Fat
Brass Inc.
is a dynamic 8-piece horn-band made up of members from Green Bay to the
Fox Valley to Manitowoc. These 8 members bring a wealth of professional
performance experience to the stage for every gig. Their sound is big
and their energy is infectious, often causing audience members the
undeniable urge to get their “groove” on and shake it on the dance
floor until the night ends or music stops (whichever comes first).
Using a wide ranging repertoire that includes genres from Funk, Rock,
Fusion, Jazz, Soul and R&B, Fat Brass combines a 3(sometimes 4)
piece horn section with a tight rhythm section and smooth vocals to
form a groove-a-licious time that is had by all!
Their laid back stage presence has Fat Brass realizing
just how much
fun it is to make music together and their performances are too
compelling to be ignored. “We tried to put together a band that would
have fun in any performance situation” says bandleader Chris Andersen.
Quipped drummer Tony Giovannini, “We don’t take ourselves too seriously
and that translates into a relaxed feeling within the band allowing
everyone to play at a high level. There’s a ton of ability in this band
and we feel that the sky’s the limit when we get together”!
Fat Brass knows that people just want to have a good
time. Have a
cocktail, do a little dancing and, yes, sing along to some great tunes!
Consider singing and dancing to music from Chicago, Dave Matthews, The
Commodores, Wild Cherry, Paul Simon, The Blues Brothers, Joe Cocker,
The Doobie Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, Average White Band,
Tower
Of Power and Stevie Wonder….just to name a few. “Best horn-band in
the area”, “You
guys are a fun band to listen to”, “What’s the guitar players phone
number”, “You
have a great sound” and “Where and when are you playing
next” are just some of the many comments that the band
receives every time they play.
So if you want a fun time kicking back and listening to some cats that
can groove til the cows come home then Fat Brass is for you…a quality
musical experience you won’t be disappointed with. And if you are
disappointed…well…then we will give you a rebate in the form of Chris’
pickup truck or perhaps 300 feet of vinyl siding!
